A floor to ceiling mural of the Alabama River greets patients in the large activity room of the brand new Geriatric Behavioral Health wing of Prattville Baptist Hospital. Design Innovations collaborated with hospital leadership to create a safe and healing environment for the project. Nature and local landmark photography in every patient room and therapy area integrates biophilic design and offers familiarity to the patients. The neutral finish palette with seamless wood flooring and durable finish materials creates a calm atmosphere that will also withstand harsh healthcare cleaning procedures. Special consideration was given to all fixtures and furniture selections to make sure they met behavioral health recommendations.
